Simple Birthday Cupcakes

I had an order for cupcakes for an office Birthday party with absolutely no direction except for the flavors (red velvet with cream cheese frosting). I don't do well with this.  There are too many ideas out there from which to choose.

Recently, I bought a Happy Birthday lollipop mold so I decided to try it out for these cupcakes.

I love the 80's cupcakes

Earlier today, I dropped off an order for 80's cupcakes for a costume and karaoke party.  I cannot wait to see pictures of the party!  The birthday girl wanted rubik's cube, cassette tape and pacman cupcakes.

The colors of the party are purple and neon green so we represented that in the icing.  Once I get pictures from the party, I will post the cupcakes in action.

Wine tasting cupcakes

I made simple chocolate on chocolate cupcakes for my friend's wine tasting tonight.

It is our signature chocolate cupcake with chocolate coffee frosting. Nothing like a triple buzz from wine, chocolate and coffee!

Since I was making cupcakes for a friend's wine tasting, I figured I should make a few extra for Sloan's play date this morning.

I'm not sure if more ended up on them and on the floor or in their mouths.  But they enjoyed it.  Here's hoping Pearce took an afternoon nap!

Another satisfied customer

This past weekend was the "almost there" celebration for Nick's MBA program.  They have one more semester left and personally, it can't get here quick enough.  So of course I had to make cupcakes to commemorate the occasion.  And of course I forgot to take pictures.  But I do have a picture of one of our satisfied customers.

Isn't she the cutest ever?  Especially that bathing suit and the icing smile.

Churro Cupcakes!

This weekend after watching Cupcake Wars, I was inspired to make Churro Cupcakes.  It is a cinnamon cupcake topped with cinnamon sugar with a cinnamon cream cheese icing and topped with a dolce de leche drizzle.

It could have been really sweet but the tangy cream cheese icing balanced it all out.
